After School

YouthSF After School programs provide standard-aligned science and technology experiences to students at no cost to their families. This student-centered program engages students in a multitude of active, hands-on projects. Students are encouraged and supported to follow and explore their own interests. The program is well-organized and well-researched. Students find it extremely fun and are always eager to share what they learned.

How To Register

This year we’re introducing KidCheck for registration, check-in & check-out. It’s a secure system that will help us keep the process quick, organized, and safe, while making sure only authorized people can pick up your child.

We recommend setting up your free KidCheck account before you register. You can still do it during registration, but it’s faster and more complete if you have the account ready first.

Step 1 – Create Your KidCheck Account

  1. Go to https://go.kidcheck.com or download the KidCheck app (iOS or Android).

  2. Create your account.

  3. Add your child(ren), any approved guardians, and photos.

Step 2 – Register for After School Lab
Once your account is set up, come back to this page and click the link below to register for your day(s):

The YouthSF Labs

The 2 Labs are part workshop, computer lab, library, toy “store”, video game center…and all FUN! Students can explore a wide variety of subjects in a safe, comfortable, well-equipped space.

Red Lab: 438 Taraval St | Sunset District

Donation Based

The Department of Children Youth and Families of San Francisco is partially underwriting this program helping to make it FREE to San Francisco students. Voluntary donations are requested but not required.
