Testimonials

I am writing to express my enthusiastic support for YouthSF’s STEM enrichment programs, which my son, John Choy, has greatly benefited from. As a parent deeply involved in the field of artificial intelligence, I have a unique perspective on the importance of these programs in preparing our children for the future, especially those who may not otherwise have access to this sort of skill development.

Over the past decade, my career has focused on developing and deploying AI solutions, always with the goal of creating a harmonious interaction between humans and technology. This experience has made me acutely aware of the skills that will be crucial for the next generation to thrive in an AI-driven world.

Youth SF’s programs do more than just teach STEM subjects; they cultivate critical thinking, creativity, and emotional intelligence

—skills that are indispensable in navigating the complexities of AI and technology. By engaging children in hands-on, innovative activities, YouthSF helps them develop the ability to evaluate AI and technology outputs critically, think creatively, and work collaboratively.

In a world where AI handles many data-heavy and repetitive tasks, the time freed up must be used wisely.

YouthSF encourages children to explore their creative potentials and apply ethical considerations in their work, fostering a sense of responsibility and a strong work ethic. These are not just academic skills but life skills that will enable them to adapt and thrive in an ever-changing technological landscape.

My son John’s experiences with YouthSF have been powerful.

The program has sparked his curiosity and passion for learning, laying a strong foundation for his future education and career.

I believe that with adequate funding, YouthSF can continue to provide these invaluable opportunities to many more children in our community.

Thank you for considering the support for YouthSF. I am confident that investing in these programs will yield significant benefits for our children and the future of our city.

Sincerely,
Derek Choy
